A slow computer is
frustrating. No one wants to sit and wait for programs to load. When we sit
down at our computers we want them to do what we tell them to; instantly. If we
are waiting we get impatient and irritable.
Many people ask if their
computer is slow because they have a malware on it. The trouble with just
saying yes you have a malware because your system has slowed down from what it
used to do; is that your system may not be slowed down by a virus. Other things
do cause slow computer speeds, and you have to consider these other
possibilities before you assume you are terminally infected.
The first thing to ask
yourself is how old is the computer you are working with? If that machine is
more than two years old part of the slower speeds you are experiencing has to
do with age, not spyware. As our bodies age we naturally work slower than when
we were in the prime of our life. As our computers age them naturally work
slower than they did in the prime of their life.
Consider how much data
you have added to the system since it ran the speed you liked. Every time you
add a program, add a picture, download a song, or create a file, you use up
some of the memory space in your system. The less memory space you have left
the less speed your system has. You may want to consider getting more memory
and installing it on your system. When you reach maximum memory capacity your
computer will run as fast as it is capable of.
If you put more memory
onto your system, than what is recommended by the manufacturer, then you can
cause your system to run slower than it should run. You have to stick with the
amounts that the manufacturer recommends for optimum performance.
If you are comparing
your computer to a friend's computer then you may be comparing apples and
oranges. You have to make sure that you are comparing systems that have the
same processors, the same amount of memory, the exact same amount of files, and
the same programs starting when you boot up. Otherwise you are comparing fruit,
just not the same fruit.
If your computer is
slowing down gradually is probable caused by age. If you notice a sudden
reduction of speed then you may be dealing with malware.
Malware removal [http://malwarefixfree.com/]
may not be the solution when your computer is slow

your system may be due to age or too much stuff on the memory.
